Pokrovsky GOK

One of the largest manganese ore extraction companies.

Pokrovsky Mining and Processing Plant (Pokrovsky GOK) is one of the largest producers of manganese concentrate and sinter in the world. The plant develops the western part of the Nikopol Manganese Field (approximately 230 km2 of square) in an open way.

It produces 70% of manganese ore in Ukraine.

The main product is manganese concentrate of various grades with a content of pure manganese from 26% to 43% (depending on the variety). Associated products are ex-clay and sludge.

Pokrovsky GOK is owned by the Privat Group via offshore Cypriot firms. The Privat Group is owned by Henadiy Boholyubov and Ihor Kolomoisky. It is the initial link in the vertically integrated businesses of the Ferroalloys Group. Most of the production is operated by the Nikopol Ferroalloy Plant. Also, together with other enterprises of Kolomoisky’s plants, employees of the plant take part in the protests near the National Bank.
