UIA is the flag carrier and the largest airline of Ukraine

Ukraine International Airlines is the flag carrier in Ukraine, with its main hub at Boryspil International Airport in Kyiv. UIA fleet has 40 aircraft, the vast majority are Boeing 737-800.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board — Mayberg Aron.

In 2010, the privatization of the state share (a 61.58% stake) of UIA. They were acquired by one of the minority shareholders, the Capital Investment Project, which subsequently increased its stake to 72% in the charter capital. The ultimate beneficiary of the company is Ihor Kolomoisky.


Associated with Kolomoisky

The company is one of the key assets of Ihor Kolomoisky. It is critically important for UIA to maintain a monopoly position in the Ukrainian market. That is why its competitor, the low-cost SkyUp airline have experienced pressure from the Kolomoisky collaborators.

At the same time, UIA is a debtor for the use of the airport capacity (300 million hryvnias) and for the state enterprise Ukraerorukh for air navigation services (up to 1 billion hryvnias).
