Various sources estimate that the number of deputies influenced by Ihor Kolomoisky varies from 9 to 30 persons. That was reported by RBC-Ukraine in its review of the influence groups inside the Servant of the People party.
According to Davyd Arakhamiia, this group comprises not more than nine persons. Other interlocutors call the figure of up to 30 deputies. However, the group does not yet seem to have obvious coordination.
“They are neither organized, nor having chats of their own. They are periodically talking in the hall with Dubinsky, as an example,” as pointed out in Zelensky’s team.
During the meetings, Dubinsky often talks with Deputy Ihor Palytsia, Kolomoisky’s business-partner.
“They have been friends for long, as I have been told, and they somehow synchronize my thoughts. Ihor Palytsia is more experienced, since he has been working in the parliament for several convocations. In this, we’re on the same page,” Arakhamiia explained.
Palytsia himself told RBC-Ukraine that he was communicating with all the deputies. “If anyone has any questions to me, that I know better than they do, they ask. When I have such questions or if I do not professionally understand the issue, I will also go and ask.”
At the same time, he said that the talks about Ihor Kolomosky’s influence on the Servant of the People party were just conspiracy staff. He added, the bills should be prepared in a way, so that people were not worried about voting for them.
“The deputies elected in the regions have more responsibilities to their constituents. It is wrong to believe that some deputies do not vote for the bill because they were told not to,” Palytsia commented.
