PhD in Law, lawyer, owner of a law firm, President of the Association of Tax Advisors, member of the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP).
In 2000-2006, Danylo Hetmantsev worked as assistant at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. He became famous after his name entered the list of top-100 best lawyers in Ukraine known for their breakthroughs in banking, financial and tax law spheres. Danylo was awarded with various Diplomas of the Supreme Court of Ukraine for his bona fide work and significant personal contribution to the development of the judicial system.
In 2004, Danylo received a certificate allowing legal practice.
In 2007-2013, Danylo served as Associate Professor of Constitutional and Administrative Law, of Administrative Law and of Financial Law at the Faculty of Law at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
After nine years of teaching, Danylo Hetmantsev became one of the first members of the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP). The official ceremony of his admission was held on June 2, 2016 at Max Planck Institute for Tax Law and Public Finance in Munich. There, Danylo became famous being the first Ukrainian among three hundred fifty member-professors of the Association from all over the world. Already in 2018, he entered the EATLP Academic Committee.
In the 2019 parliamentary elections, he was elected to the Verkhovna Rada as a People’s Deputy from the party Servant of the People, No. 20 on the election list. He is currently engaged with tax matters, public financing, and banking law.

Danylo is persistently lobbying Draft Law 1210 on levying the royalty on mined iron ore which is beneficial to Kolomoisky. Before the said draft law appeared, Ihor Kolomoisky had mentioned that Rinat Akhmetov and Vadym Novinsky’s Metinvest kept profit from mining and that he was going to put an end to it.
