In 1994, he was appointed to the position of the first deputy chairman of the bank.
In 1997-2016, he served as the Chairman of the Board of CB PrivatBank. As a top manager of the financial institution, he owned some shares in the bank. His shares totaled 0.464%.
He is the father of Dmytro Dubilet, Head of the State Statistics Service and Founder of Monobank.

As a chairman of the board of PrivatBank at times when the bank belonged to Ihor Kolomoisky and Henadiy Boholyubov, he was aware of and involved in the withdrawal of the PrivatBank funds to shell companies. Following the nationalization, he filed a lawsuit for the honor and reputation protection, demanding to refute the allegations of the NBU officials regarding his involvement in those agreements. Later, however, he withdrew his lawsuit. At the end of 2019, he filed a lawsuit challenging the bank’s nationalization as a minority shareholder.
