Associated with Kolomoisky
There is still no evidence of direct reporting line of Dubinsky to Kolomoiskyi. Hence, there are still indirect signs of the fact – a significant number of persons as well as institutions that testify thereof. Thus, according to the civic organization Detector Media, when Oleksandr Dubinsky headed the journalist investigation department at 1+1 TV Channel in 2010, he started consistently promoting the interests of Ihor Kolomoiskyi, owner of the channel.
Some episodes of the Ukrainian Sensations programme seem politically ordered. Besides, that refers to the episode of March 23, 2019, entitled “Fifty Shadows of Poroshenko” accusing then-President of Ukraine of forming the criminal group in the territory of Moldova and of his involvement in his brother Mykhaylo’s murder.
Furthermore, the observers pointed out Dubinsky’s criticism addressed to Oleksiy Goncharuk’s Cabinet of Ministers inspired by Kolomoysky as another example. Borys Filatov, Mayor of Dnipro, also accused Dubinsky of his commitment to Kolomoiskyi. Expert Sergiy Fursa further said that Dubinsky was transmitting what Kolomoiskyi wanted him to. Finally, Dubinsky, being the representative of the Verkhovna Rada, was delegated to the selection of independent directors to the supervisory boards of state-owned companies, that included inter alias PrivatBank.
